Here at Van's our goal is, at the very least, to educate you on all matters heating and air conditioning related. Your furnace or air conditioning equipment is more than just the mechanical equipment, it is a system comprised of many working parts, all which effect the operation and efficiency of the system as a whole. There have been so many new scientific advances and studies done that have shown us that we needed to adopt a different and more comprehensive approach to heating and cooling homes. This means that some of the old beliefs and methods of designing heating and air conditioning systems need to be forgotten and discontinued. What that can also mean is confusion, on what is correct, what is not correct, and what really is the right way to do things. We know that you have more important things to do than to wade through all the information out there, most of it being scientific studies; So, what we have done is try to compile as much of it here, on our site, as possible. We have also provided links to credible third party web sites such as Energy Star, ACCA, and more, to enable you to see this information first hand.
